CAB-35 (Cocoamidopropyl Betaine)

short description:

Cocamidopropyl betaine was prepared from coconut oil by condensation with N and N dimethylpropylenediamine and quaternization with sodium chloroacetate (monochloroacetic acid and sodium carbonate). The yield was about 90%. It is widely used in the preparation of middle and high grade shampoo, body wash, hand sanitizer, foaming cleanser and household detergent.

This product is an amphoteric surfactant, with good cleaning, foaming, conditioning, good compatibility with anionic, cationic and non-ionic surfactants. Small irritant, mild performance, delicate and stable foam, suitable for shampoo, shower gel, facial cleanser, etc., can enhance the softness of hair and skin. When combined with an appropriate amount of anionic surfactant, it has obvious thickening effect, and can also be used as conditioner, wetting agent, fungicide, antistatic agent, etc. It has good foaming effect and is widely used in oilfield exploitation. Its main function is to be used as viscosity reducing agent, oil displacement agent and foam agent, and make full use of its surface activity to infiltrate, penetrate and peel the crude oil in the oil-bearing mud and improve the recovery rate of the three production.

Product Usage

Emulsifying agent

Two insoluble liquids can be mixed together to form a uniform and stable milky liquid. This is very important for many lotions, such as lotions, creams and shampoos, as it adds stability and texture to the product. During the emulsification process, the molecular structure of CAB-35 allows it to disperse the oil into tiny particles that are encased in the water phase. Dispersing agent

CAB-35 encourages the solid particles to disperse evenly in the liquid, preventing them from clumping together. This is valuable in many products, such as oral mouthwashes, liquid laundry detergents, and pesticides. This reduces the attraction between the particles, allowing them to disperse evenly in the liquid.

Thickening agent

It can increase the viscosity and concentration of the product and improve its fluidity. This is important for the manufacture of high viscosity products such as gels and creams, as it improves the adhesion and stability of the product. During thickening, the molecular structure of CAB-35 forms a three-dimensional mesh structure, similar to a sponge. This network traps water molecules and forms a viscous gel system that increases the viscosity and concentration of the product.

Cleaning agent

CAB-35 has excellent cleaning capability and can effectively remove grease, stains and dirt. This makes it widely used in detergents and cleaning products.
